Anne Hendrickson Anderson

Anne was born in South Dakota in 1894. At he age of seven she moved with her parents Gunnar O.
and Martine and family to Canada - settling in the Armena district. She attended school at
Thordenskjold School and later at Camrose Lutheran College. Having a desire to deepen her spiritual life,
Anne spent two years at the Lutheran Bible School in Fargo, North Dakota. This led to teaching Vacation
Bible School in various locations, as she loved working with children and instructing them in the Christian faith.
It was while teaching in the Bardo district that she met her future husband, Bersvend (Bennie) Anderson.

In 1920, she served as Dean of girls at Camrose Lutheran College from January until the end of June.
On June 30, 1920 Anne and Bennie were married. and moved to Bardo where they farmed for thirty-seven years.
Three sons were born: Phillip, Clifford and Allen. As well a foster-daughter, Bernice became part of their family.

Anne and Bennie's life on the farm ende when Bennie suffered a heart attack and they moved to Delta BC.
After a year Bennie (1889-1958) passed away and Anne returned to Alberta. Anne passed away in 1992 and
they are buried in Bardo Cemetery.
