Henry was born in the USA in 1885 and came to Canada in 1901 with his parents. On December 21, 1903,
he filed a homestead. He attended Bethania College at Everett, Washington to finish his high schooling.

He then returned to Canada where he worked in Wetaskiwin and Camrose. Henry then returned to the USA
where he became a surveyor and driller of water wells. He married Edith Engstrom of Conrad, Montana,
where they lived out the rest of their days. They had no children.
