On October 21, 1900, Olianna was born. She taught school for several years at Sulitjelma and other schools as well.

In the 1930's, she married Edwin Hong. To them twin girls were born in 1935 - June Rachel and Joan May.

Edwin died in Summerland, BC, where they had retired on July 25, 1978. Olianna passed away on May 11, 1986.
