Anders was born in Clinton, Minnesota on June 17, 1891. He went to school in Clinton, before moving
with Knut and Anne in 1902 to Canada. He then attended Thordenskjold School and spent a term at the
Camrose Lutheran College.

He was confirmed at Skandia Lutheran Church. About 1918, he purchased the former Jacob Lunde farm
two miles north of the home place. However, he lived at home for two years before taking up residence on
the farm. The land was fertile and Anders raised many fine crops of wheat, oats, and barley - and he raised
cattle and other stock as well.

Anders married Bertha Sware of Hay Lakes. She was the daughter of Anton Sware. They had two children:
Phyllis, born in 1929, and Lyle, born in 1933. Lyle passed away in 2000. Anders and Bertha continued farming
until 1977. Anders passed away on April 1, 1979, at the age of 87. Bertha passed away in 1988.
