Robert Lyseng Biography

The youngest and last child to Knut and Anne, Robert, was born at Armena in 1905 and spent most of his
life on the farm. Because his mother was boarding the teacher, Robert was allowed to start school at the
age of five. He never forgot his teacher, Miss Mckay. After completing his public school, he spent a year in
Edmonotn studying automotives. He had a talent for handling horses and was good at breaking them for
farm use.

At the age of 21, he left the farm and spent a year working in lumber camps in Washington State. After this,
he returned home to manage the farm for his father and eventually bought it from the estate.

About this time, a yong school teacher came to teach at the Thordenskjold School, named Dorothy Deverell.
Their marriage took place on November 1932. They raised three children: Fred, Margaret and John.

Robert passed away in 1964 and Dorothy passed away in 1996.
