Ragnild Halvordsdotter
     

Ragnild was born in 1780. She died in 1848. She had a child with Ola Bjødnsson Bunli, named Bjødn.

She then married Knut Knutsson Garliege. Knut died in 1810 at the age of 40. They had two children - Ingebjør and Anne.

After Knut died, she married Tølleiv Gøliksson Fødnes. They had one child, Anne who would become the next owner of the farm. Tølleiv died in 1813.

After Tølleiv died, Ragnild married Knut Bjødnsson. They had one child Bjødn.

In Norway - back in that time - your last name was based upon your father's first name. For example, if your father's name was John and you were his daughter - your last name was Johnsdotter. If you were a boy - your last name was Jonsson. Furthermore, people tended to adopt the name of the farm or area they lived in. If you lived or even worked on the Lyseng farm - you could take the farm's name as your last name.
