Thronson School History

Thronson School was formed in 1905 - largely due to the efforts of Andrew Johnson.
The school was named after the Throndsons - but spelled without the "d" - perhaps
to make it sound more Canadian. The school opened on July 1, 1905. The school was
closed in 1948 and later moved to the Camrose Hutterite Colony, and as of the publishing
of Footprints Along the Stoney (1982), was still in use as a school there.
