Obituary:

Engebret Lyseng was born November 5, 1881, in Aurdahl Valdres, Norway.
He came with his parents, two brothers and two sisters, to South Dakota and
settled in One Road township, where he resided most of the time until his death
March 22nd, 1942.

His death was caused by cancer of the liver, after an illness of about six months.
Two weeks before his death he entered the Tekakwitha hospital for treatment
and care.

He completed his public school education in Aurdol, Norway. After coming to
America, he continued his education at Clinton, Minnesota. He was confirmed
in the Lutheran faith by Rev. L. E. Kjelaar, was a member of the Bethel congregation
30 years and was much interested in its progress. He is survived by one sister,
four nephews and three nieces. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. R. L.
Simonson March 24th. Burial was in the Bethel cemetery.
