Eric was born in 1869 and died on August 16, 1949. According to the Valdres Farm
History book, it states the Erick Lyseng emigrated to Pinewood, Minnesota in 1892 -
however, according to a census, he also lived in Polk County (See other biography below).

He married Carrie Braaten in Polk County on March 28, 1899. According to a 1905
census, Erick's occupation was listed as a famer, his wife, Carrie was listed as a house-
keeper. Carrie was born in July 12, 1870 and died on February 29, 1920 at the age of
49 from pnuemonia due to complications of influenza. They had six children: Jenny,
Clara, Jalmer, Carl, Iver and Henry.
