Ernest Clifford Chell was born on 3 November 1913.
He was the son of  Alfred William Chell and Carry (Kari)
Chell Lyseng.

Ernest Clifford Chell married Ethel Mallery on 25 June 1953.
Ernest Clifford Chell died on 10 November 1995 at age 82.
Ernest and Ethel had five children: Chelsea, Rachel, Shauna,
Evelyn and Ellen.
