Evereld was born on August 11, 1928. He was the oldest child of Martin and Dagny. When he approached
his teens, he used to make money by running a trap line - catching everything from muskrats, long and
short tailed weasels and minks. He maintained his trap line by cross country skiiing on his way to and
from school.

He even had the odd mink come alive while he was at school, which the teacher just loved. Evereld also
had a pet deer for a time, which also used to follow him to school.

After he finished school, he went towork for his uncle Erik Lofgren, in Hay Lakes, where he learned his
trade as a journeyman Partsman. He soon moved to Edmonton, and went to work for International
Harvester Trucks where he worked his way up to Senior District Parts Manager for Western Canada
and the Northwest Territories.

Evereld married Jean Dahl in 1961. They had three children: Daryl, Perry and Gaylene. After he retired
from International Harvester - he spent his time in the garage building garden furniture and refinishing
antiques, as well as spending time out on the farm.

Evereld passed away on December 15, 2003.
His wife, Jean passed away on December 17, 2011.
