George Lyseng was the tenth child of Knut and Anne Lyseng. He was born in Clinton, Minnesota on May 26th, 1899,
and three years later moved to the Armena district with his parents.
Gertie, the eldest daughter of Bertin and Laura Lomnes, was born at their home north of Armena on August 22, 1904.
Both George and Gertie attended Thordenskjold School. On December 16, 1926, George and Gertie were married in
the Scandia Lutheran Church. They spent three months on their honeymoon at the Coast, and upon their return at the
Knut K. Lyseng home for about a year while farning and building their own home midway between their parent's homes.
Four sons were born to this marriage: Denis, Wayne, Larry and Orrin. George passed away in 1983 and Gertie passed
away in 2000.
