Kenneth, elder son of Nils and Oline, married Hazel Christine Fransen, twin daughter of Hannah and Ole Fransen, homesteaders in the Bawlf area.
They were married December 28, 1927 in Camrose. Their farm home, two miles southeast od Armena was their home for thirty years until Kenneth's passing in January 1958 at the age of 52 years.
Soon Hazel and Noreen moved into Camrose.
To Hazel and Kenneth were born six children. Jean Lyseng Green,
Norman, Avis Lyseng Gerards, Harland, Lorna Lyseng Miklusek, and Noreen Lyseng Anger.
The four older children attended Lyseng School until 1941, when Armena School was opened. Jena, then being in grade seven, Norman grade six, Avis grade four, Harland grade two and Lorna just beginning, five in the buggy.
The railroad track became an excellent shortcut and it was fun hiding in the culverts when the train went over or seeing who could walk the farthest on the rails.
Kenneth was a very creative person designing and remodeling his home, always busy with some craft such as tanning hides, wood carving and lathe work.
When Arvis was teaching Sunday School one year, her father carved by hand a set of Old Testament figures. They were so realistic one could tell the character they respresented - Noah or Moses or any other.
